The oak used to make this refectory style table has been crafted from rough hewn planks, planed, joined and finely finished in our workshops near Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire.
The timber that we carefully select gives character and a interest to the plank top, with knots, twisting grain and clusters of 'pips'. As standard the whole table is finished with a penetrating oil that provides remarkable resistance at the same time as allowing the natural hues, grain and imperfections to manifest in touch and look.
No composites, mdf or veneers are used in the construction of these table, just solid oak throughout.
The smooth surface finish creates a contemporary feel to a traditional design. Each is made to order for each prospective client.
The rigid and strong leg frame can be easily disassembled and reassembled for delivery purposes.
